Cuddly Cubs Team

Caring for babies up to 1 year old…

Team Room Moves

The team room moves take place twice a year in January and August, and the reason for this is so that we can give each team member a chance to develop and grow as a practitioner through working with a variety of age ranges.  As we are a small nursery moving one person can seem like a major upheaval for the whole nursery so the aim of doing the moves twice a year is so that the team and parents are aware of when the moves will take place and are therefore prepared.

As January is fast approaching us, we have recently decided upon our January moves for the team, these were influenced by the departure of Lisa Jones from the baby room at the end of January and offers the opportunity for some team to move into a more senior position to develop their career.

As I said Lisa will now be leaving us at the end of January rather than her planned date at the end of February to pursue a career in Social Work, as her course timings have changed so therefore she must leave us earlier than planned. We would like to thank Lisa for all her hard work in the baby room since October and wish her all the best for the future.

The room moves will coincide with the children’s room moves when we return after the new year and they are as follows;

Cubs: Shirley, Alex and Lauren (Lisa will also be in here for the first couple of weeks of January to support Shirley).  Shirley has a vast amount of experience in the baby room and is looking forward to returning. Lauren is our Modern Apprentice and this will be her first time based in a room so she is keen to meet her new key children and families. Alex will stay in the room and keep her current key children.

Bears: Abi and Tiff.                                                                                                                                                                                                         Abi will be stepping up to Acting Room Leader for the Bears and since her and Tiffany make such a great team it was decided that they should stay working together but to just move across the hall to the Bears.

Pups: Kirsty and Krysten.                                                                                                                                                                                      Kirsty currently works in the Chipmunks but has been given the opportunity to step up as Acting Room Leader of the Pups, Kirsty is looking forward to this new role and working with her new key children. Krysten is familiar with the Pups as she has been working at that end of the nursery for a while now, Krysten is confident with the age range in the Pups and is happy to stay working at that end of the nursery.

Chipmunks: Angela, Hayley and Gemma.                                                                                                                                                      Angela has been the Room Leader in Chipmunks for a while now and still enjoys working with this age range, she is looking forward to working with Hayley and Gemma. Hayley has previously worked in the Chipmunks and thoroughly enjoyed it and is happy to be returning to this age group. Gemma joined us over the summer and has been working in the baby room, she is looking forward to her room move and the chance to work with the older children.

Raccoons: Kay, Perry and Katie:                                                                                                                                                                              Kay is the Room Leader of the Raccoons and has been for the past two and a half years. Kay and Katie have worked together for a while in the Raccoons and are looking froward to Perry joining their team. Perry is currently studying towards her Level 3 and will be moving up from the Chipmunks so she will know most of her new key children. Perry is excited about her move to the Raccoons.

If you have any questions about the room moves please do not hesitate to contact us. Your child’s key person will be issuing you will a slip to let you know who your child’s new key person is.
