Our Day Nursery Rooms

At The Teepee Day Nursery we cherish and nurture every child we are privileged to care for, providing a creative, fun play environment as well as valuable Early Years Foundation Stage learning and development for children from six weeks of age to pre-school age. As with everyone else, children with special needs are welcomed too.  We aim to provide a diverse community, so look forward to discussing any individual needs that you and your child may have.

As your child grows, the emphasis between care and education gradually shifts in focus and we take our role as educators very seriously. Even so, at The Teepee Day Nursery, we believe it is important to be allowed to be a child and to have maximum enjoyment at this precious age. We aim to achieve this by having fun and learning through play.

Our practice is based on a programme called Early Years Foundation Stage. This is a framework to support children in their earliest years. It provides information on child development, effective practice, examples of play activities to promote play and learning, guidance on planning and resourcing and meeting diverse needs.

The nursery school has five rooms, which cater for the different age ranges within the nursery.

Cuddly Cubs – Babies

In the Cuddly Cubs we can take up to nine babies. We look after babies as young as six weeks, into their first year.

Bouncing Bears & Plaful Pups – Woddlers

We have two large and spacious nursery rooms, each of which can take six children.

Cheeky Chipmunks – Toddlers

We can look after up to 12 children and our practice is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Racing Raccoons – Pre-schoolers

Early Learning is not just a preparation for school but a grounding for life and we feel privileged to offer this support to your child.
